this large installation is made of 80 single diamond shaped pieces

roughly measuring 1.50/150m a piece

hollow on the inside

holding a plexi sheet with black and white print

to be presented in a public place

be it indoors or outdoors

it is build in transparent resin

modest rainbowcolours are visible

it is equipped with wireless lighting inside

visitor connects with piece through stethoscopelike apparatus

visitor uses stethoscope to listen to own heartbeat

heartbeat connects with all of the 80 pieces which is visible in it's lighting

heartbeat is simultaneously heard and seen

is there value in comparison?

we seem to always compare ourselves with one another

being quick to judge

yet i believe everybody is here to express a personality

as far as i am aware

nobody consists of just one aspect

the sum of many aspects make a personality

diversity is what it is all about

black vs white sounds like an illusion

seeing the full range of colors

meeting each other in a simple smile

is a more familiar choice to look at it for me

a better feeling perspective to choose from

this better feeling perspective stuck

once my thoughts about myself became friendlier

This is a temporary try-out selection i'm working with for the time being. Still need to clarify the legal aspects of the use of the pictures here. The selfie's go on the inside of the diamond printed on transparent plexiglass sheets.
